Music and Beyond Festival hosted Marian Sobula, an international prize-winning Polish pianist with a concert presenting Polish Music Days in Ottawa.

First of the two concerts planned in Ottawa by the Polish artists bringing Polish Music Days to Canada and the US (8 July) featured pieces of classics such as F. Chopin to I.J. Paderewski, and also of those modern and contemporary Polish composers - K. Szymanowski or J. Bielecki. The excellent Ottawa public was enchanted with the Polish music and enjoyed special introductions on life and artistic inspirations of the Polish composers by a compere - Wojciech S. Wocław.

Polish Music Days are presented in Ottawa in partnership with the Music and Beyond Festival, under the patronage of the Ambasador Zenon Kosiniak Kamysz.

The concert was a part of the Polish Music Days project launched by PianoClassic Association (Cracow/Poland) and co-financed from the funds granted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the competition for the public task “Cooperation with Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad in 2013.” The concerts are presented in partnership with the Embassy of Poland in Ottawa.
