    Polish institutions and companies of aviation and space sector visited Canada on April 15th-18th, 2019.

    The Polish-Canadian cooperation in space sector was discussed by representatives of the Polish Space Agency, the Canadian Space Agency, diplomats, government officials and companies from both countries. A meeting, which was a part of a visit of Polish institutions and companies to Canada, took place at the headquarters of the Canadian Space Agency near Montreal. The Embassy of Poland supported the visit. The delegation also visited the AEROMART trade show in Montreal and participated in additional meetings organized in Toronto.

     

     

     

     

     

    The Embassy co-organized important meetings at the Montreal Board of Trade and the Trade Department of Quebec, as well as encouraged the participation of the Polish delegation in the AEROMART trade show in Montreal.

     

     

     

     

     

     

    The Polish Space Agency (POLSA) was established by the Act of 26 September 2014. The task of the Agency is to support the Polish space industry by combining the world of business and science. POLSA also helps to get provision for entrepreneurs in obtaining funds from the European Space Agency (ESA). An important aspect of the Agency's activity is to promote the development of satellite technology that can be used in everyday life, including communication, navigation, environmental monitoring and weather forecasting.

     

    The priority task of the Polish Space Agency is to take care of the security of the country and its citizens and to increase Polish defense capabilities through the use of satellite systems.

     

    The cooperation between POLSA and CSA was established due to the Embassy's key participation.
