    - In the last 25 years Poland has been the most successful country in Europe. In 1989 communists left our country in disarray. Hyperinflation was at almost 600%. Export almost didn’t exist. Now, after only 25 years, export increased 20-fold to over 200 bln USD – said ambassador of the Republic of Poland Marcin Bosacki during a meeting with Canada’s public sector leaders.

The meeting with the Certificate Program in Public Sector Leadership and Governance participants took place on May 21, 2015 at the University of Ottawa. The program is designed specifically to accelerate the development of senior public service leaders who are well performing and promising.

In April 2015 the program’s participants had the opportunity to visit Warsaw, London and Berlin during their study tour to Europe. In Poland they met with journalists, economists, representatives of the National School of Public Administration, Polish Institute of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs and Polityka Insight think tank.
